Best Black Friday Laptop Deals in Canada (2026)

A good laptop deal depends on the specifications behind the price. This page will collect current laptop deals from the retailers we cover as they become available. In the meantime, the guide below explains the specifications and buying details that separate a useful machine from a merely cheap one.

We link to retailers and do not sell laptops ourselves, so check each listing for the exact configuration, price and availability.

Part of our Black Friday Canada 2026 guide: Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026.

We add laptop deals as retailers publish them

None are live on this page yet. We show when we last checked a deal where we have recorded it, and we do not list prices or savings we cannot support. You can browse every current deal or sign up to hear when new ones are added.

Look past the price: processor generation, memory and storage

The processor family and generation, the amount of memory (RAM) and the type and size of storage together decide how a laptop feels in daily use. As a general guide, more memory and a solid-state drive (SSD) make everyday multitasking smoother than the same laptop with less memory or a slower drive.

Compare the same specifications across offers rather than the model's marketing name, and check whether memory or storage can be upgraded later. On many thin laptops they are fixed at purchase.

Screen, weight and battery life for how you will actually use it

Screen size, resolution, brightness and panel quality affect comfort more than most people expect, especially over long sessions. A lighter laptop is easier to carry, and a larger one is easier to work on.

Battery life figures come from the manufacturer's own tests and real use is usually different, so treat them as a rough way to compare models rather than a promise.

Sale-event models and why model numbers matter

Some laptops are sold in versions made for a particular retailer or sale period, with components that differ from the model sold the rest of the year. The full model number or part number tells you which version is on offer.

Before buying, search the model number on the manufacturer's site and compare its specifications with the retailer's listing.

Keyboard layout and Canadian model variants

Laptops are sold with different keyboard layouts. In Canada you may see US-English layouts and Canadian bilingual layouts, and a listing does not always make the layout obvious.

If the layout matters to you, check the product images and specifications, and confirm the listing is for the Canadian market, which can also affect the warranty.

Warranty, returns and refurbished vs new

A new laptop normally comes with the manufacturer's warranty. Refurbished or open-box units can have different or shorter coverage, sometimes provided by the retailer instead of the manufacturer, so check who provides the warranty and for how long.

Read the retailer's return policy for laptops, including any restocking fees or conditions on opened items, before you buy.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy a laptop in Canada?

It can be when you are buying a model you have already researched. Laptops are sold in many near-identical configurations, so a headline discount may apply to a version with less memory, less storage or a different processor than the one you actually want.

Check the full model number, note the price before the sale starts and compare it afterward, and read the return window. If you can wait, Boxing Week is another sale period to compare against.

How we choose the deals on this page

We include active deals in our Electronics category that are priced in Canadian dollars.

For this page we also look for product names that contain words such as laptop, laptops or notebook, and we leave out accessories and parts such as bag, backpack or sleeve. This keeps the list focused but can miss a product whose name does not use those words.

Deals are ordered using the information we have: a badge where one has been set, the discount where a retailer's regular price is listed, how recently we checked the deal, and then price.

Deals are added by us or imported from affiliate retailer feeds, and we show a last-checked time only where we have recorded one. We do not use price-history data and cannot promise that a listed price is the lowest available anywhere. Prices, availability and terms are set by retailers and can change.

Not every “sale” is a real discount. Read how to spot a real Black Friday deal and our affiliate disclosure.
